Accommodation

Accommodation for the entire duration of the conference is included in the single participation fee.

If you wish to extend your stay before or after the conference, this is possible. Please let us know in advance at info@IAP2025.cz so we can assist with the arrangements.

Venue

The IAP 2025 workshop will take place at the Wellness Hotel Frymburk**** (website), located in close proximity to the Lipno Reservoir. The hotel offers extensive accommodation options and a wide range of additional activities, including an aquapark, sauna world, private wellness services, and the “World Under the Surface” exhibition (website), which features unique displays of marine and freshwater aquariums with various fish, aquatic organisms, and exotic reptiles.

The conference itself will be held in a fully equipped lecture hall, with ample space for poster presentations in the adjoining foyer, which will also feature a self-service refreshment station with draft beer. Meals will be available in one of the two hotel restaurants, and participants can enjoy a comfortable lobby bar offering a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

About Frymburk

Frymburk (website) is a popular tourist town with approximately 1,400 inhabitants, situated on the left bank of the Lipno Reservoir. The town square, historically a marketplace along an ancient trade route, features several notable landmarks, including:

  • Church of St. Bartholomew – A 13th-century church later rebuilt in the late Gothic style with baroque interior furnishings.
  • Historic pillory – Built in 1651, standing nearly four meters high.
  • Fountain – A granite fountain dating back to 1676.
  • Marian Column – Built in 1735 by priest J. F. Latich.
  • Stone-paved artificial stream – Originally built in the 16th–17th century for laundering, now fed by an underground water source.
  • Kalvárie Marta – A restored chapel from 1898 located on the Marta hill, offering the best panoramic view of Frymburk.

Nearby Attractions

The area surrounding Frymburk is interwoven with hiking and cycling trails, including:

  • The Šumava Cycle Route, running from Vyšší Brod through Lipno nad Vltavou along the left bank of the Lipno Reservoir to Nová Pec and beyond.
  • The Jezerní Cycle Trail, linking Frymburk, Lipno nad Vltavou, and Přední Výtoň, with a segment incorporated into Cycle Route 33.

In addition, Frymburk is connected to the right bank of the reservoir via a ferry, which operates hourly (7:00–19:00) in the summer season and serves as an access route to Vítkův Kámen Castle (website).
